Naming Rights Sponsor Announcement | 2022 Santos Wheelchair Rugby National Championship

Wheelchair Rugby Australia (WRA) has today announced leading energy company Santos as the Naming Rights sponsor for the Wheelchair Rugby National Championship for the next three years. The announcement comes on the eve of the 2022 Wheelchair Rugby National Championship finals, with the deal seeing Santos, who are currently a major sponsor of Rugby Australia and their representative teams, become the first Australian-based organisation to show support to both mainstream rugby and wheelchair rugby in a truly unprecedented Australian sporting sponsorship.

Wheelchair Rugby Australia’s General Manager, Chris Nay said “I genuinely believe this partnership with Santos will become a landmark moment in our sport’s domestic history. As a game we have made great improvements since the pandemic and have been able to restructure our entire pathway processes and systems which we are now seeing have increased participation and playing opportunities. To have a partner so willing to support us through this phase of growth and committing to being a part of our journey is a tremendous boost for the sport.”
