Wheelchair Rugby Australia have compiled a list of grant opportunities available to participants to assist with funding participation in wheelchair rugby. This list is not regularly maintained so please refer to the individual grant pages for more information and availability. This list is not exhaustive.

ASC Para Sport Champions
Grants for coaches, officials and competitors with a disability aged 12-24 years old to support travel expenses to participate in state, national or international competitions.
ASC Local Sporting Champions
Grants for competitors, coaches and officials aged 12-18 participating in state, national and international championships.
Sport Access Foundation
Annual grants for children and young people with a disability for any project that helps to build participation in sport and to ensure that no-one gets left on the sidelines.
Sport Excellence Scholarship Fund
Supports young athletes aged 10 to 18 years old, whose financial circumstances would preclude them from otherwise participating at representative level for their state or Australia.
Sport Australia Hall of Fame Scholarship & Mentoring Program
Supports talented young Australian athletes aged 15–21 with financial assistance and development opportunities.

ClubGRANTS is one of Australia’s largest grant programs, providing more than $100 million in cash each year to a variety of worthy causes across NSW. Charities, sporting organisations and not-for-profit community groups are among tens-of-thousands of worthy causes funded through the program each year.
Variety Heart Scholarships
Scholarships to support young people aged 6-18 to reach their full potential in the arts and sport, helping children who face financial or physical barriers fulfil their dreams.

Emerging Athlete Pathways
The Emerging Athlete Pathways (EAP) program supports eligible young athletes, coaches and officials aged 10-18 years to progress on a development pathway by providing financial assistance to help alleviate the costs associated with attending state, national and international events.
Variety Queensland Individual Grants
Individual grants support the purchase of items or expenses that enhance access, inclusion, and opportunity for children aged 0–17 who are experiencing disability or chronic illness.

Variety Heart Victorian Scholarships
Variety Heart Scholarships support Victorian children with a demonstrated talent who are living with a disability, chronic illness, or financial hardship to reach the next stage of development.
Variety Victoria Individual Grants
Variety Victoria assist the purchase of mobility equipment, communication devices, medical and assistance dogs, wigs, and essential medical and health equipment to support Victorian children with a medically diagnosed chronic illness or disability.

Robert Gerard Emerging Athlete Development Fund
Its charter includes the provision of support to next generation elite athletes, particularly those competing at the Junior/ Under 23 World Championship / International level or equivalent.
Variety SA Individual Grants and Scholarships
Variety SA helps children and their families facing challenges by giving them access to resources such as mobility equipment, communication devices, learning aids, technology & more.

WAIS Individual Athlete Program
Provides services and support to Western Australian high performance athletes who are not scholarship holders with a WAIS operated sport program.
Rebound WA
Rebound WA provides financial assistance to members with a disability through two annual grants, which aim to encourage participation in social, recreation and sporting activities:
Frank Ponta Grant for Junior Members (under 18 years at time of application)
Sir George Bedbrook Grant for Senior Members (18 years and over at time of application)
Regional Athlete Travel Subsidy Scheme
The Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport supports regional athletes aged 12-18 who have progressed into the high performance pathway of their chosen sport and are pursuing regional, state and national representation.
D’Arcy Slater Foundation
The purpose of the D’Arcy Slater scholarship is to assist youth aged 13 to 25 in the pursuit of sporting goals of excellence with the specific objective to provide a scholarship fund to offset costs associated with training for or competing at a significant sporting career milestone competition.

Individual Support Program - Tasmanian Institute of Sport
The TIS Individual Support Program (ISP) purpose is to provide opportunities for performance progression to Tasmanian elite athletes in sports where the TIS does not deliver or partner in a program.
Tasmania Government - Junior Travel Assistance Program
The Junior Travel Assistance Program (JTAP) provides financial assistance to help alleviate the costs of competing in national sporting championships.
Funding will be available for Tasmanians aged 12-18 years selected to travel interstate for the purpose of representing Tasmania in a National Sporting Championship.
Variety Tasmania Individual Grants
Variety Tasmania helps children and their families with financial support for things like wheelchairs, specialist equipment, therapy, and medical supplies, when they can’t afford it, and when government assistance isn’t available. Eligible applicants must be aged 18 or under.

ACTAS Individual Athlete Program
The Individual Athlete Program currently supports ACT and regional elite athletes from a variety of Olympic, Paralympic and Commonwealth Games sports.
Scholarship holders receive access to a range of high performance support services through ACTAS to assist them in reaching their sporting potential.
ACT Government - Youth InterACT Scholarships
These scholarships help young people develop professionally and personally. They help young people aged 12 to 25 years to:
attend events, courses or activities
cover costs to represent the ACT in sport, education or community events.

Variety Northern Territory
Variety NT provides grants to children aged 0-17 years who are sick, disadvantaged or living with a disability for the purchase of life-changing aids or assistance to increase physical development, independence and social inclusion.

Elite Athlete University Scholarships
Across the Australian Elite Athlete Education Network (EAEN) there are a range of scholarships available for the benefit of Elite Athletes. In consultation with the EAEN, the AIS has compiled a list of relevant scholarships across Australia.
Athletes are encouraged to explore any opportunities that may interest them, and conduct their own further examination of specific items.
