The Wheelchair Rugby World Challenge returns to Adelaide in April 2026!

The 2026 Santos Wheelchair Rugby World Challenge will run alongside the domestic Wheelchair Rugby National Championship and see the return of the junior’s division.

The World Challenge will run from Thursday 23 to Sunday 26 April 2026 and is supported by the South Australian Government through the South Australian Tourism Commission in the final year of a three-year host agreement to bring wheelchair rugby to the state.

Countries competing in the World Challenge are currently being finalised, with an announcement expected in early 2026 to welcome back some teams from this year’s event, while introducing others to their first ever competition in Adelaide.
