About the Australian Steelers
The Australian Steelers are Australia’s national wheelchair rugby team. The Steelers are one of the most successful teams in Australia, winning two gold medals at the Paralympic Games (2012 and 2016) and two World Championships (2014 and 2022).
In 2024, the Australian Steelers took home the bronze medal at the Paris Paralympic Games. Their success continued at the inaugural Santos Wheelchair Rugby World Challenge hosted in Adelaide where they claimed an impressive second place in front of a roaring home crowd.
