Disability Sports Australia (DSA), the national body representing athletes with a physical disability, has
won an international bidding process to host the International Wheelchair Rugby Federation (IWRF)
Wheelchair Rugby World Championship in Sydney in August 2018.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - The Australian Rugby Union (ARU) has joined forces with Disability Sports Australia (DSA) in a new partnership to foster and promote the development of Wheelchair Rugby in Australia.
The partnership will aim to drive Wheelchair Rugby participation and develop pathways within the sport at state, local and national levels, as well as developing coaching and officiating accreditation frameworks and programs.

Sadly, the Suncorp QLD Cyclones had to forfeit a game due to 4 injuries on their team, but took on some ring-ins to play in the semi-finals against GIO NSW Gladiators. Canada will face off against VIC Protect Thunder and the winner of each will battle it out in the final!
